When health becomes a shared mission, dedicated frontliners go beyond boundaries to bring essential healthcare to underserved communities. Through compassion, collaboration, and service, they help build healthier, more resilient communities where no one is left behind.
On October 11, 2025, the Covered Gym in Loyonsawang, Abuyog, Leyte, became a vibrant center of hope and healing as LifeBank Foundation, in partnership with the Philippine Red Cross, successfully conducted its first medical mission in the Visayas of the year. The initiative brought together healthcare professionals, volunteers, local leaders, and community members in a shared commitment to improving access to quality healthcare.
This medical mission was made possible through the invaluable support of Mr. Ericson Feliciano S. Alarcon – Chapter Administrator of Philippine Red Cross Leyte Chapter, dedicated team of health professionals, volunteers, and local leaders. Together with dedicated medical practitioners, volunteers, and local government partners, the initiative delivered essential healthcare services to 524 beneficiaries, including Ikabuhi Microfinance Program (IMP) members, their dependents, and non-IMP community members.
As the first of fifteen planned medical missions across the Visayas, this milestone reflects LifeBank Foundation’s continuing commitment to advancing community health, expanding access to essential healthcare services, and supporting vulnerable populations through meaningful, community-based interventions.
The success of the Abuyog medical mission demonstrates the transformative impact of strong partnerships and collective action.
