Each academic year dawns with fresh anticipation, as dreams are kindled and possibilities open for young minds ready to take on new challenges. Somewhere, amid the hopeful buzz of a college campus, a quiet transformation is about to begin—one that promises to shape not just individual lives, but entire communities for years to come.
On October 30, 2025, the vision came to life as the LifeBank Foundation (LBF) in partnership with the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Sta. Barbara, granted financial assistance to 50 deserving indigent first- year college students at Municipal Hall, Sta. Barbara, Iloilo.
Through the inspiring words of Hon. Christine Marie Robles, Chairman of the Committee on Education; Hon. Dennis Superficial M.D – Mayor of the Municipality of Sta. Barbara; and Ms. Mikka Ella B. Perlas, Vice President LBF of the Social and Sustainable Development Department, together with other members of the Scholarship Committee and representatives from LBF, the event became a celebration of collaboration and united efforts. Their unified message of encouragement and gratitude underscored the power of working together to uplift and empower the scholars.
With their shared commitment and support, the scholarship program offers vital financial assistance, lifting the burden of the families and empowering students to focus on their studies and dreams. This collective effort not only opens doors to education but also inspires hope and motivation for scholars to pursue a brighter future for themselves and their communities.
Indeed, these young scholars stand as living testaments that with unity, vision, and unwavering support, dreams can be achieved and communities can rise together.
